Eesha, the horror-thriller movie with a twist, was released in theatres on Christmas. On the first weekend, the Srinivas Manne directorial grossed Rs 5.90 crore. The four-day weekend saw holiday crowds flocking to theatres showing the movie.
"Eesha wins hearts with fear. Turns bankable for everyone involved. The haunting thriller grossed Rs 5.9+ Cr in just 4 days, with 129.9K+ tickets sold on Book My Show, despite a Rs 99 ticket price in single screens. Experience The FEAR in cinemas now," the makers stated.
The movie follows four childhood friends—Naina (Hebah Patel), Kalyan (Thrigun), Vinay (Akhil Raj), and Aparna (Siri Hanumanth)—who are staunch rationalists. Their personal mission is to travel across the country exposing fake godmen and debunking superstitions that exploit innocent people. Their journey leads them to the Andhra–Odisha border to confront Dr. Adidev (Babloo Prithveeraj), a former world-renowned neurosurgeon who has reinvented himself as a powerful spiritual "Swami" claiming to cure spirit possessions. When the friends challenge his authenticity, Adidev dares them to a test: spend three nights in a notorious abandoned haunted house. If they survive without experiencing anything supernatural, he will admit he is a fraud and shut down his ashram. The group accepts, but once inside, they are forced to confront terrifying incidents that shake their logic and force them to question if the "unseen" is actually real.
