Dude Trailer: Entertainment with a heart

“When you have the girl, the wedding doesn’t happen. When the wedding happens, the girl is not there in your life,” says a friend character to the protagonist of Dude. Pradeep Ranganathan plays a chilled-out dude who is loved by a cute girl (Mamitha Baiju), only to be ghosted by her because the “concept of love doesn’t work out” for her. The heartbreak pushes him to the brink of Devadas-type depression, but with a contemporary edge. The story, its beats and the emotional core of Dude revolve around Pradeep’s character. His conversations with his relatives (played by Sarathkumar and Rohini Molleti), a friend (“It’s now fashionable to mock others’ emotions as cringe”), and others make it feel like the film is a male protagonist-heavy narrative. He is also your quintessential male with a progressive heart. When asked if there is no respect for the act of marriage, he replies that he respects only the feelings of the bride. Directed by Keerthiswaran and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Dude is a thorough youthful entertainer. Dude has music by Sai Abhyankkar and is shot by cinematographer Niketh Bommi. Latha Naidu is the production designer, while Barath Vikraman is the editor. The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar. R Sarath Kumar, Hridhu Haroon, Rohini, Aishwarya Sharma, Dravid Selvam and others are playing different roles.
