Dude soars; makes Rs 45 Cr in two days

Pradeep Ranganathan s latest romantic comedy Dude, directed by debutant Keerthiswaran, is setting the box office ablaze this Diwali season. Released on October 17th, the film has grossed an impressive Rs 45 crore worldwide in just two days . The movie, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, opened with Rs 22 crore on its first day and added Rs 23 crore on day two, fueled by strong performances in Tamil Nadu and Telugu regions, alongside over 500,000 in North America. Speaking about the movie, producer Y Ravi Shankar stated that highlighting the caste angle was never the film's intent. It's the story of a guy who will go to any lengths for the person he loves, Ravi Shankar clarified. Pradeep Ranganathan 's third release of the year, Love Insurance Korporation, will hit the screens in December. It is directed by Vignesh Shivan.
