Mouli Tanuj Prasanth’s upcoming film Donga Naa Koduku has locked its theatrical release date. The robbery crime comedy is set to hit theatres worldwide on November 13, marking Mouli’s next big-screen outing after the success of Little Hearts. The makers announced the date with a new poster that gives a glimpse into the film’s quirky family setup.
The new poster places Mouli at the centre, looking frightened and confused while Ali and Rajitha appear behind him as his parents. The unusual family dynamic immediately hints at the comic situations the film is likely to explore. Ali plays Mouli’s father, while Rajitha plays his mother. The title itself adds to the curiosity, suggesting that the parents may find themselves dealing with their son’s involvement in a life of crime.
Positioned as a robbery, crime and comedy entertainer, the film marks the directorial debut of Sreenu Kambala, who has also written the story. Sushmita Shetty is the female lead, while Raghu Babu, Priya and Gundu Sudarshan are part of the supporting cast.
Mouli, who built a following through YouTube and digital content before gaining wider recognition with 90s – A Middle Class Biopic and Little Hearts, is now joining hands with Mythri Movie Makers for this project. Sinjith Yerramilli is composing the music, with Suriya Balaji handling cinematography and Sreedhar Sompally serving as editor.
With its unusual title, family angle and robbery-comedy setup, Donga Naa Koduku is shaping up as a different outing for Mouli. The film arrives in theatres on November 13.
