One year after the tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule that left a young boy, Sritej, severely injured, producer and close associate of Allu Arjun, Bunny Vasu, earlier today shared information about child’s ongoing care and financial support.
This evening, producer and TFDC Chairman Dil Raju spoke about Sritej's recovery in the presence of Baskhar, the boy's father. "Soon after the stampede incident, Allu Arjun garu deposited a sum of Rs 2 crore in a bank account. The interest amount generated by the account has been used for hospital and other expenses by the boy's family. Approximately Rs 75,000 per month has been generated in the form of interest. It's a happy thing that Sritej is recovering," Dil Raju said.
The producer further stated that Allu Arjun has spent Rs 70 lakhs for the child medical expenses so far. "Baskhar, the child's father, has sought additional financial assistance. I have spoken to Allu Aravind garu and Allu Arjun garu regarding the same," the Sri Venkateswara Creations supremo added.
Baskhar said that, last week, he approached Dil Raju with a request for extra financial support for rehab expenses. As per doctors, the boy needs rehab care for six months. "All support has been assured to us," Baskhar said.
