Dheekshith Shetty promises a slice-of-life romance with a difference in The Girlfriend

"Usually, we see love stories presented in a certain way, but The Girlfriend explores romance from a new perspective. We often watch movies for entertainment, but some films stay with us - we carry their emotions and lessons beyond the theater," says Dheekshith Shetty , talking about his upcoming multi-lingual release, The Girlfriend. The film hits the screens in Telugu and Hindi on November 7th , while it will arrive at the cinemas on the 14th in other languages. In his latest interview, the Dasara actor says that The Girlfriend will be slice-of-life. "Large-than-life movies are fun to watch, but we can t always relate them to our real lives. The Girlfriend is filled with characters and moments that mirror our own experiences," he observes. The Kannada actor, who is slowly getting busy in Telugu as well, says that audiences between 18 and 25 will especially learn something meaningful from this film. He is all praise for Rashmika s performance. "I genuinely felt no other actress could have done justice to this role. She performed brilliantly. While watching the movie, you won t see Rashmika - you will only see Bhooma, her character," Dheekshith says.
