Dhanush's Idli Kottu to have a huge release in Telugu, says producer

October 1st is when Dhanush s Idli Kadai is going to hit the screens. Actor-director Dhanush has tied up with SVM Production for the Telugu release. In Telugu, the movie is titled Idli Kottu. Sri Vedakshara Movies will be releasing the movie in the Telugu States. Producer Ramarao Chintapalli has acquired the Telugu theatrical rights for a record price. This is the highest ever in Dhanush s career. The film will now have its biggest Telugu release under their banner. Wunderbar Films (owned by Dhanush) and Dawn Pictures are bankrolling Idly Kadai. Music director GV Prakash Kumar and editor Prasanna GK, among others, are working on the movie. Principal photography began in September 2024 in rural Tamil Nadu (Theni, Pollachi) and wrapped up by April 2025 after shooting key scenes in Bangkok. Dhanush appears to play the owner of a modest eatery named Sivanesan Idli Kadai, which may serve as the emotional and social focal point.
