Dhanush 56: The Feast Begins

Published: 2026-09-25

Dhanush has officially kick-started his 56th film with a striking new poster and the words “And the feast begins.” The image immediately sets a distinct mood, featuring a massive antique wooden door covered with rows of bronze bells, along with a small viewing window at the centre. The unusual visual has now become the first major glimpse into the world of Dhanush’s next film.

The poster also brings the key details of the project together. Dhanush’s name appears below the title logo, while Lubber Pandhu fame Tamizharasan Pachamuthu is credited as the director. Sai Abhyankkar is composing the music, adding another interesting collaboration to the project after his work on Dhanush’s upcoming Om.

The production is backed by Sithara Entertainments, Srikara Studios and Primark Productions, with Naga Vamsi S, Haritha Lingasamy and Sai Soujanya serving as producers. The film has already attracted attention for bringing Dhanush together with Tamizharasan Pachamuthu for the filmmaker’s second directorial venture.

The first-look design itself adds plenty of curiosity. The heavy wooden door, numerous bells and the tiny viewing window create a mysterious visual identity without revealing the story. The choice of bells in particular makes the poster feel rooted in a specific cultural setting, while the aged design gives the film a traditional and intriguing atmosphere.

The project has also officially gone on floors with a pooja ceremony at the Maranadu Karuppanasamy Temple in Sivaganga. The film is being shot around the Madurai region and is planned as a Summer 2027 release.

The cast includes Vadivelu, SJ Suryah, Preity Mukundan and Vijay Kumar alongside Dhanush. The combination of Dhanush and Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, along with the film’s rural backdrop and the striking visual language introduced through the poster, has already given the project a distinct identity.

For now, the makers have offered only a carefully designed glimpse rather than revealing much about the story. But with “And the feast begins,” Dhanush has officially signalled the start of another new cinematic journey.
