The makers of Cult, starring Vishwak Sen, have unveiled the film’s trailer, offering a glimpse into a violent and suspense-filled world. Written and directed by Vishwak Sen, the film appears to explore a disturbing cult where people are forced to follow strict rules, with brutal consequences for those who disobey. The trailer sets up an intense thriller with bloodshed, mystery and dark humour.
The trailer opens with Vishwak Sen appearing with a bruise and blood on his nose. The subsequent scenes show a police investigation, with an officer asking his colleague how many people are inside the location. The response reveals that more than 300 people are involved, adding to the scale and mystery of the situation. Vishwak appears as DSP Sankalpa, a police officer who seems to be dealing with a dangerous and unusual case.
The trailer suggests that the cult operates under its own rules, and anyone who fails to follow them faces brutal punishment, including death. These glimpses build curiosity about the events unfolding inside and the circumstances that bring the police into the picture.
Tharun Bhascker’s dialogues stand out, adding a sharp and quirky touch to the otherwise intense narrative. Ravi Basrur’s background score further strengthens the trailer, creating a gripping atmosphere and complementing the violent action sequences. The combination of dark humour, suspense and a pulsating score makes the trailer intriguing.
The film also stars Gayatri Bharadwaj, Tarak Ponnappa, Murali Sharma and Srikanth Iyengar in important roles. Produced under the Tarak Cinemas banner, Cult is scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on October 30, 2026, in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
With its unusual premise and intense presentation, Cult promises a different cinematic experience as Vishwak Sen returns to the director’s chair.
