Star producer Dil Raju shared exciting insights into one of the most anticipated collaborations in Telugu cinema: Rowdy Janardhana. Speaking about the film's title glimpse, Raju promised fans a side of Vijay Deverakonda they have never seen before.
While Vijay rose to fame with youthful hits like Pelli Choopulu and Arjun Reddy, Dil Raju noted that Rowdy Janardhana marks a significant departure for the actor.
For the first time in his career, Deverakonda will be adopting the East Godavari dialect, a move Raju described as "very unique", adding that the Kingdom actor will be embracing an "out-and-out mass avatar." Portraying a "blood-soaked, pure mass character," moving away from his usual urban or romantic portrayals.
The film is set against a powerful backdrop of the 1980s. Dil Raju lauded the technical team for their dedication to world-building, stating that everyone is working tirelessly to bring director Ravi Kiran Kola’s fresh and ambitious vision to life. "When we encourage such efforts, we get impressive results like this glimpse. Our technical team has recreated a powerful world," Raju remarked.
The producer also expressed immense confidence in director Ravi Kiran Kola. Having made a mark with the small-scale success of Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru, Kola is now taking on a massive responsibility with his third feature. Dil Raju emphasized that the director’s dedication and strong scripting were key reasons for backing the project.
Fans won't have to wait too long to see this "intense" transformation. The production team is planning a grand-scale release for December 2026, aiming to entertain audiences across the board with this period action drama.
