Blockbuster movie HanuMan wins National Awards in two categories

The 71st National Film Awards for the year 2023 were announced today, with the Telugu film Hanu Man making a significant mark by securing two prestigious accolades. The superhero fantasy-action film, directed by Prasanth Varma, was honored with the Best Film in AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming amp; Comic) category. Besides, it also clinched the award for Best Action Choreography . Primeshow Entertainment, the producer of the film, will share the glory for the Best Film in AVGC alongside director Prasanth Varma and VFX Supervisor Jetty Venkat Kumar. In a testament to its adrenaline-pumping sequences, Hanu Man was also recognized for its outstanding action choreography, with Nandu and Prithvi being lauded for their exceptional work in designing and executing the film's thrilling stunts. This win highlights the growing prominence of regional cinema on the national stage and the innovative strides being made in Indian filmmaking. The film tells the story of Hanumanthu (played by Teja Sajja ), a small-time thief in the fictional village of Anjanadri. His life takes a fantastical turn when he accidentally acquires a divine gem that bestows him with superhuman strength and abilities, reminiscent of Lord Hanuman. With his newfound powers, Hanumanthu must rise to the occasion to protect his village and its people from an antagonist, Michael ( Vinay Rai ), who is also seeking a source of unlimited power.
