Bigg Boss Telugu Season 10 has officially begun with a grand launch packed with celebrity entries, commoner contestants, special tasks, and a brand-new Magic Key concept. Hosted by Nagarjuna, the milestone tenth season introduced 16 contestants to the newly designed Bigg Boss house on Sunday, September 6.
Unlike a regular first day inside the house, the premiere focused heavily on introducing the contestants and establishing the game's new power-based format.
Nagarjuna Unveils the House with Mr. HAI Robot
The grand launch kicked off with host Nagarjuna introducing the futuristic new Bigg Boss house. Adding a major tech twist to the 10th season, Nagarjuna was accompanied by Mr. HAI Robot, a mysterious AI companion introduced as part of this year's "Dashavatharam" theme. Designed to bring tech-driven unpredictability, power plays, and futuristic twists to the game, Mr. HAI Robot assisted Nagarjuna in revealing the house features and setting the stage for the season's new power dynamics.
Debjani Modak Becomes the First Housemate
Following the house reveal, Debjani Modak became the first contestant to step inside. The actress, who has worked across Bengali, Tamil, and Telugu television, explored the house before beginning her Bigg Boss journey. Actor Thrigun, formerly known as Adith Arun, followed her as the second contestant.
Jhansi Gets the Golden Ticket
The spotlight then moved to the contestants who came through Agnipariksha 2, the selection process for commoner contestants. Folk singer and farmer Jhansi, who won the golden ticket through Agnipariksha, became the first commoner to enter the Bigg Boss house. She was followed by Sudheer Reddy, who opened up about his personal struggles and fitness transformation during his introduction.
The Magic Key Game Begins
One of the biggest highlights of the Grand Launch was the introduction of the Magic Key concept. Nagarjuna revealed that the season would feature 10 special powers, with the Magic Keys giving contestants the opportunity to unlock these powers and gain an advantage in the game.
The first four contestants then competed in a Love Triangle task for the first two Magic Keys. Thrigun finished first, while Jhansi followed him, making them the first two contestants to secure the special keys.
Aman Gets a Secret Task
Agnipariksha contestant Aman was the next major entrant. But instead of simply entering the house, Aman was handed a secret task by Nagarjuna. He had to complete a Red Dot challenge without the other contestants figuring out what he was doing. Aman's attempt did not go as planned, and he lost his opportunity to secure the Magic Key in that round.
Chaitra Rai and Auto Ram Prasad Enter
Television actress Chaitra Rai entered the house next. During her introduction, she spoke about her television journey, weight-loss transformation, and the emotional difficulty of leaving her young child at home.
Then came Auto Ram Prasad, who brought his trademark comedy and energy to the Grand Launch. Nagarjuna gave him a fun live-dubbing task involving the contestants already inside the house.
Ram Prasad and Shalini Win the Second Set of Magic Keys
The next Magic Power challenge featured Aman, Auto Ram Prasad, Shalini, and Chaitra Rai. After the task, Auto Ram Prasad and Shalini emerged as the winners and secured the next two Magic Keys, establishing the season's first clear power holders alongside Thrigun and Jhansi.
Temper Vamsi, Srushti and Naresh Join the House
Actor Temper Vamsi entered as the ninth contestant, speaking about his difficult days in Krishna Nagar and his desire to move beyond negative roles. Commoner contestant Srushti entered next after clearing the Agnipariksha process.
Then came Naresh, whose entry was accompanied by a fun puzzle twist where contestants had to solve a puzzle-filled box before revealing him inside. Naresh made his ambitions clear from the beginning, openly declaring that he wanted to win the Bigg Boss trophy.
Naresh and Srushti Grab More Magic Power
Potti Naresh, Srushti, and RJ Charan were subsequently involved in another Power Task. The battle resulted in Naresh and Srushti securing the next set of Magic Keys, adding two more contestants to the growing group of power holders.
RJ Charan Makes His Entry
RJ Charan entered the house after winning the maximum audience votes among the commoner contestants competing for the spot. The Nizamabad-based radio jockey identified humour as one of his biggest strengths and spoke about his admiration for Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna.
Krishnudu and Varshini Sounderajan Enter
Actor Krishnudu then joined the house. Known for films such as Happy Days and Vinayakudu, he spoke about his personal transformation after gaining weight following an accident and promised viewers a different side of his personality.
Varshini Sounderajan followed with a glamorous entry. Nagarjuna gave her an intuition-based task where she had to place housemates under five categories:
- Enemy: Sudheer Reddy
- Friend: Aman
- Attraction: Debjani Modak
- Competition: Chaitra Rai
- Beware: RJ Charan
Rohit Refuses a Task
Commoner contestant Rohit, selected by Bindu Madhavi, also entered the house. During his introduction, Rohit politely refused to perform a task that required him to throw water at another person, offering an early glimpse into his personal boundaries.
Mukesh Gowda Completes the Line-Up
The final entry was Mukesh Gowda, best known to television audiences as Rishi from Guppedantha Manasu. Mukesh acknowledged that Kannada is his mother tongue while expressing his close connection with the Telugu language and audience. With his entry, the Bigg Boss Telugu 10 house was officially filled with 16 contestants.
Day 1: The Game Has Only Just Begun
The Grand Launch of Bigg Boss Telugu 10 was less about major house conflicts and more about setting up the game. Between the new Magic Key concept, secret tasks, and the futuristic addition of Mr. HAI AI Robot, contestants were given advantages almost immediately.
The first Magic Key winners included Thrigun, Jhansi, Auto Ram Prasad, Shalini, Potti Naresh, Srushti, Varshini Sounderajan, and Mukesh Gowda. With 16 contestants now inside the house, the real Bigg Boss journey begins.
