Bigg Boss 10: Captaincy Task Sparks Heated Clashes

Published: 2026-09-16

Bigg Boss Telugu 10 entered a new phase on Tuesday as contestants began competing for the season's first captaincy. With the “Power of People” theme continuing into the second week, the captaincy race was shaped by audience choices, strategic decisions and heated disagreements inside the house.

Bigg Boss announced that the audience would decide which contestants would get an opportunity to compete for captaincy. Based on the viewers’ choices, Thrigun, Debjani, Aman, Shalini, Mukesh, Rohit, Jhansi and Ram Prasad entered the captaincy contender race. However, becoming a contender did not guarantee a place in the final captaincy task. The remaining housemates had to decide who deserved to continue and who should be eliminated from the race.

The task involved four balloons being placed in front of each captaincy contender. The contestants had to evaluate the contenders and burst their balloons based on their opinions about their gameplay, fairness and suitability for the captaincy. The contenders were therefore judged not only on their performance but also on how the other housemates perceived their conduct inside the house.

One of the major discussions revolved around Thrigun. Debjani and Mukesh appeared to focus on removing him from the captaincy race. Debjani reportedly argued that Thrigun gets triggered easily and displays a dominating attitude, while Mukesh questioned whether he could remain fair and neutral as a captain. Mukesh eventually chose to eliminate Thrigun, stating that he did not believe Thrigun would ensure justice if he became captain.

The contestants also questioned one another’s task conduct. Shalini pointed out that Mukesh allegedly continued writing even after the buzzer had sounded. Vamshi and Thrigun supported the objection, claiming that they had noticed the same issue. Mukesh’s actions became another point of discussion as the housemates debated whether the rules were being followed properly.

The task also led to a heated argument between Shalini and Varshini. When Varshini announced that she was choosing Jhansi, Shalini questioned the decision and suggested that it could be viewed as favouritism. Varshini reacted strongly and accused Shalini of provoking people during discussions. What began as a disagreement over a captaincy decision soon turned into a personal verbal clash, with both contestants refusing to back down.

Meanwhile, Aman raised questions about Debjani’s suitability for the captaincy race. He reportedly commented that Debjani still needed to improve her language and communication, suggesting that unclear statements could create problems for her later. Debjani questioned why language should be connected to her ability to become captain, turning the discussion into another disagreement over personal judgement and gameplay.

Rohit and Ram Prasad also exchanged views during the task. Ram Prasad questioned Rohit’s earlier suggestion that contestants should look around before making decisions. Rohit clarified that he had only asked them to consider who was present, while Thrigun argued that even such a statement could influence the others’ choices.

With the contenders being evaluated through strategy, fairness and personal opinions, the captaincy task brought several unresolved tensions to the surface. The first captaincy race has already become a test of not just performance, but also trust and relationships inside the Bigg Boss 10 house.
