Bigg Boss 10 continued the intense captaincy contender race on Day 17 as the Temptation vs Tension task brought more difficult choices and emotional moments for the housemates. After Mukesh became the first contestant to secure a place in the captaincy contender race, the remaining contestants continued fighting for their chances.
The episode began on a lighter note as Debjani returned after becoming emotional over the loss of her family letter. Ram Prasad and Naresh tried to cheer her up by joking about what her parents might have written in the letter. Mukesh received the photograph of himself with his late father, which brought a happy moment for him after the emotional decision he had made during the previous task.
Bigg Boss then continued the captaincy contender task. Since Mukesh and Debjani had already participated in the previous round, they were assigned the role of sanchalaks. Varshini and Aman won the next buzzer opportunity and faced a physical challenge involving bags placed inside the swimming pool. The contestants had to collect the bags and place them in their designated areas. The task became intense as Varshini and Aman fought to hold on to the bags, with Mukesh stepping in as sanchalak to control the situation.
Sudheer and Srishti later won another buzzer opportunity and competed in a tower-building task. Srishti emerged victorious and was given a temptation involving a letter from her mother. To receive it, she had to create tension for either Vamsi or Thrigun by preventing them from receiving a letter from home. Srishti chose Thrigun, resulting in his letter being destroyed and leaving him emotional.
Meanwhile, the kitchen issue involving Vamsi and Thrigun also continued. After their earlier punishment for talking while cooking, Captain Jhansi reminded them of the rule and eventually asked Bigg Boss for the plaster punishment to be implemented. The episode therefore balanced task competition with emotional family moments, making the captaincy race even more intense as the week progressed.
