Bhumika Chawla is set to be seen in a strong role in the Gunasekhar-directed Euphoria this year. There was a time when she was seen as the lucky mascot of cinema, with her films opposite superstars becoming big hits. That was in the early 2000s. Bhumika quickly established herself as a leading actress in the South Indian film industry with a string of early blockbusters. After her debut in the Telugu film Yuvakudu (2000), her career truly took off with Kushi (2001), where she starred opposite Pawan Kalyan. This romantic comedy was a massive box office success, earning her the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu. She continued her remarkable run with Badri (2001) in Tamil, opposite Thalapathy Vijay, further solidifying her presence. The year 2003 proved to be particularly pivotal. Bhumika delivered powerhouse performances in Telugu with Okkadu alongside Mahesh Babu and Simhadri with Jr. NTR, both becoming huge commercial hits. The same year marked her successful Bollywood debut with Tere Naam , opposite Salman Khan. This romantic tragedy was a major grosser and cemented her pan-Indian appeal.
