Bhagavanth Kesari bags Best Telugu Film at 71st National Awards

Director Anil Ravipudi and producer Sahu Garapati are in a happy space today. The National Awards jury has recognized their film, Bhagavanth Kesari , with a prestigious honour. The Nandamuri Balakrishna-starrer won the Best Telugu Film Award at the 71st National Film Awards. The team specifically highlighted the recognition of the film's soul-stirring concept of Banao Beti Ko Sher (Make Your Daughter a Lioness). The film also garnered recognition at the IIFA Utsavam (2024), where Anil Ravipudi was honored with the Best Director – Telugu award. Furthermore, it was recognized as the Best Film – Telugu (produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi) at the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) (2024). Bhagavanth Kesari boasts a talented cast led by Nandamuri Balakrishna in the titular role. He is supported by Kajal Aggarwal and Sreeleela, with Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal making his Telugu debut as the antagonist. Thaman S composed the soundtrack and background score, while C. Ramprasad handled the cinematography and Tammiraju was responsible for the editing.
