Director Sampath Nandi has praised Anupama Parameswaran for effortlessly dubbing in the native dialect required for her character in Bhogi. Set in the 1960s, the upcoming period action drama demands authenticity in its language and characterisation, and the filmmaker appreciated the actress for capturing the accent convincingly.

Taking to social media, Sampath Nandi noted that dubbing in a native accent from the 1960s was not an easy task, but Anupama pulled it off effortlessly. His appreciation highlights the effort that has gone into bringing her character, Kandula Sulochana Rani, to life.

Starring Sharwanand in the lead role, Bhogi is directed by Sampath Nandi and produced by KK Radhamohan under the Sri Sathya Sai Arts banner. The film is set in a fictional village along the Telangana-Maharashtra border during the early 1960s, presenting a period world shaped by rural traditions and social struggles.

Anupama plays Sulochana Rani, a village woman whose character is deeply rooted in the film’s rustic setting. Her role requires a natural dialect and manner of speaking to reflect the period accurately. The actress has reportedly worked on her diction and emotional nuances to deliver an authentic performance.

Dimple Hayathi also plays a key role in the film, while Bheems Ceciroleo is composing the music. With its vintage backdrop, intense action and attention to regional authenticity, Bhogi is shaping up as an ambitious period drama.

The film is scheduled to release in theatres on November 12, 2026. Sampath Nandi’s appreciation has further highlighted Anupama’s preparation for a role that demands more than just a visual transformation.
