Allu Arjun praises Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ as mind-blowing masterpiece

Icon Star Allu Arjun has hailed Rishab Shetty s latest directorial venture, Kantara: Chapter 1, as a mind-blowing film that left him in a trance. In a tweet posted early Friday, the Pushpa actor lauded the Kannada prequel, released on October 2, which has already grossed over Rs 818 crore worldwide in 22 days, making it India s highest-grossing film of 2025. The versatile actor praised Rishab Shetty s multifaceted role as writer, director, and actor, calling it a one-man show. He highlighted stellar performances by Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, and Gulshan Devaiah, alongside exceptional technical work by the crew, including music by Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematography by Arvind Kashyap. The actor extended congratulations to producer Vijay Kiragandur and the Hombale Films team, expressing admiration for the film s cultural depth. The other day, the makers of Kantara Chapter 1 officially announced a global English-language release for the film. The English version is scheduled to debut on October 31st. Clocking in at 2 hours, 14 minutes, and 45 seconds, this version will be nearly 30 minutes shorter than the original version currently playing in cinemas.
