He barely interacts with his loving mother (Rohini), is a compulsive drinker, and frequently picks fights with strangers. His troubled life stems from a traumatic childhood, marked by his father s (Balagam Jayaram) abandonment of his mother to live with another woman. Malli s life takes a turn when he falls in love with Kaveri (Amritha Aiyer), the daughter of a police officer with whom he has a tumultuous relationship.
