Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War has officially entered its first-look phase with the makers unveiling Alia Bhatt’s look from the much-awaited film. Bhansali Productions shared the new poster on Friday, September 25, along with a fiery caption announcing that the film will arrive in theatres on January 21, 2027.
The new poster presents Alia in a glamorous retro avatar, dressed in a striking red outfit with a feathered headpiece and surrounded by dramatic stage lighting. The presentation has a distinct vintage cabaret-inspired feel, offering the first visual glimpse of the character she plays in the film.
The reveal comes a day after the makers introduced Ranbir Kapoor’s first look. He was seen in a vintage car with a slicked-back hairstyle, moustache and sunglasses, while a bruised and bloodied arm added a contrasting intensity to his otherwise composed appearance.
Love & War brings together Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, with Sanjay Leela Bhansali directing and producing the project. The film also marks another collaboration between Bhansali and Ranbir after Saawariya, while Alia reunites with the filmmaker following Gangubai Kathiawadi.
The makers have so far revealed the film through carefully designed character looks rather than giving away much about the story. The contrasting presentations of Ranbir and Alia have already offered two different shades of the world Bhansali is creating, while Vicky Kaushal’s look and character remain another major point of curiosity.
