Akhanda 2: Thaman Unleashes Epic Score with MS Subbulakshmi's Heirs

As anticipation builds for the December 5 theatrical release of Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, director Boyapati Sreenu’s high-octane sequel starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, the film’s soundtrack has just hit a celestial high note. Thaman has wrapped up recording a “massive score” that spotlights the ethereal vocals of sisters Aishwarya and Saundarya Rajeshkhanna – great-granddaughters of the legendary Carnatic vocalist and Bharat Ratna recipient M.S. Subbulakshmi. The duo’s divine rendition promises to infuse the action-packed saga with spiritual depth, honoring their ancestor’s timeless legacy. The film’s trailer launch event, billed as a “massive” celebration, will be held on November 21st at Chikkaballapur. It will feature Karunada Chakravarthy Dr. Shiva Rajkumar as chief guest. Akhanda 2 is backed by producers Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta on 14 Reels Plus. M Tejaswini Nandamuri is the presenter for this true-blue pan-Indian movie. The music is by Thaman (The Thaandavam Song, and Jajikaaya are already out) and the cinematography is by C Ramprasad and Santosh D Detakae. Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam is scheduled for a grand North India release by Zee Studios on December 5th, on the same date as the Telugu and other versions.
