Government of Telangana has granted permission for ticket price hike for Akhanda 2. Here are the details.
Regular Shows: For the first 3 days of release (12–14 December):
Single screens: Rs 50 extra per ticket (including GST)
Multiplexes: Rs 100 extra per ticket (including GST)
Benefit Premiere Shows: Additionally, one benefit show on 11 December (eve of release) at 8:00 PM with ticket price of Rs 600 (including GST)
Furthermore, the GO says, "All theatre owners screening the film at these enhanced rates must contribute 20% of the additional/incremental revenue earned due to the price hike to the Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation Welfare Association to support film industry workers."
Earlier, the AP government, too, permitted hikes. Below are the details:
Benefit Premiere Shows: One show from 8 PM on 11 December with tickets priced at Rs 600 (including GST).
Regular Shows: Enhanced cinema rates for 10 days starting from the release date (12-21 December), in relaxation of standard guidelines: Multiplexes: Rs 100 per ticket (including 5% GST); Single screens: Above the base admission rate of Rs 75. Five shows can be held per day.
