Actress Sreeleela participates in 'sacred pillar' ritual at Simhachalam

Published: 2025-12-15

Actress Sreeleela has visited the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Simhachalam, near Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. During her visit for darshan, the star heroine participated in a traditional temple ritual where temple priests tied her loosely to a sacred pillar (known as the "Kappa Stambham") using a yellow cloth, followed by bestowing blessings. This is a longstanding customary practice at the temple, believed by devotees to bring good fortune, cure ailments, or grant blessings. The images went viral today.

Following her Telugu debut with Pelli SandaD (2021) and the successful 2022 action-comedy Dhamaka, her career saw a significant uptick in 2023. That year, she starred in multiple major Telugu releases, including the action-packed films Skanda (opposite Ram Pothineni) and Bhagavanth Kesari (alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna). She also featured in Aadikeshava and Extra Ordinary Man in late 2023. Her momentum carried into 2024 with a key role in the highly anticipated Mahesh Babu starrer, Guntur Kaaram, and a special appearance in the blockbuster sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule. After Robinhood, Junior and Mass Jathara this year, she is going to be seen opposite Power Star Pawan Kalyan in Ustaad Bhagat Singh and Sivakarthikeyan's Parasakthi early next year.
