Acclaimed director Karthik Subbaraj is miffed with movie reviews

It is always interesting to learn about what star filmmakers think about reviews. Do they read them? If yes, what do they think about movie reviews? After the release of Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi, director Tharun Basckher hit out at reviews. In his latest interview, acclaimed Tamil director Karthik Subbaraj said that he stopped reading reviews after he found them inauthentic. I didn t look at any of the reviews. I mean, I don t see authenticity in most of these reviews. So, I stopped looking at them, he has been quoted as saying by Hindustan Times. Subbaraj's latest movie is Retro, starring Suriya and Pooja Hegde as the lead pair. It is evident that director Karthik Subbaraj has consciously stuck to his convictions. The language spoken by the different characters is not regular but doesn t feel cold either. The situations are relatable if you can connect with Paari s pain. The circumstances squeeze in Paari and Rukmini at every turn, we stated in our review of the action drama.
