The Coronavirus pandemic has been taking a huge toll in our daily lives and has crippled the events and hospitality industries, the movie business. The government and film chamber has issued a lockdown till 31st March of the following lingual industries. Due to lockdown, several weaker section people are suffering as their entire house operates on the movie business.
As the film industry has been shutdown till 31st March, the most affected would be the labourers who work on sets. The daily wage workers who work day and night to complete a film successfully and present it on a screen are in huge loss because of the complete shutdown. In order to help out all these Superstar Rajinikanth has donated 50 lakhs to Film Employees Federation Of South India workers who are facing a major break down in their daily lives because of the shutdown due to COVID 19. Also, many celebrities from the Tamil industry like Vijay Sethupathi, Suriya and Karthi, Prakash Raj and many others have donated to FEFSI workers to help them in this critical situation.

Due to the spread of the deadly virus Covid 19, all shootings of the films, tv serials and web series have been stalled. As the theatres have been closed too, film releases have been postponed too till the situation gets better. The entertainment is in complete sleep mode till Covid 19 situation gets better.
Meanwhile, due to the Coronavirus lockdown, the shooting of Rajinikanth’s ‘Annaatthe’ which is directed by Siruthai Siva has also been suspended. The film is produced by Sun Pictures, and it is expected to be released in Diwali 2020.
