Tegimpu Telugu Movie Review:
Tegimpu Movie Story:
A gang, with the help of a police officer, plans a heist to steal huge amounts of money from a bank. The heist goes according to plan until another gang, surprisingly, takes over the charge and hijacks the plan. The hijacking is led by Dark Devil. Who is the Dark Devil? Why had he planned the hijacking? What did the hijack result in? All these elements are held in suspense and slowly unfold as the story moves forward.
On-Screen Performances:
After many years, Ajith Kumar played an anti-hero in Tegimpu. He replicated one such performance from Mankatha again. Ajith perfectly portrayed the dark shades of the lead character. Ajith presented every bit of his style in both the action scenes and the dialogue part of the film. Ajith’s shades of immorality and ruthlessness added much weight to the role.
Manju Warrier, as Kanmani, is a part of Ajith’s gang. She pulled off the action parts with ease.
Samuthirakani as police commissioner perfectly fits the role.
Off-Screen Highlights:
Vinoth is successful in writing and presenting the lead role in the film with his dark shades. The lead character is named Dark Devil, and the character was designed accordingly with the respective traits. Vinoth also chose a standard bank heist plot and kept the screenplay interesting throughout. He is successful in maintaining the suspense all through the film. Besides designing the Dark Devil at his best, Vinoth also wrote his other characters with equal importance. All the characters have grey shades. Tegimpu also has Vinoth’s style of criticism. This time, Vinoth targets the media, police, politicians, the public, and finally the private banks. Vinoth also packed the film with attractive commercial elements, including the high-intensity action.
Ghibran’s background score adds fuel to the fire in Tegimpu. He produced an electrifying background score for all the action scenes.
Tegimpu is technically very strong. Nirav Shah’s cinematography and Supreme Sundar’s stunts are the best parts on the technical side.
Endnote:
Tegimpu is an intriguing action film where Ajith Kumar in grey shades talks on the real issues faced by the common man. The lead character and the film are purely designed for Ajith, and Vinoth’s style of presentation is top-notch. This heist film is Thala’s one man show.
