Tamil superstar Ajith was recently conferred with the Padma Bhushan. Following the civilian honour, he gave an interview. He took the opportunity to praise his wife, Shalini, the former actress known for Mani Ratnam’s Sakhi.
In a heartfelt interview with India Today, the Kollywood hero expressed deep gratitude for his wife’s support throughout their marriage. “Shalini made many sacrifices. She has been my pillar,” he said. The Viswasam actor’s views have touched the hearts of his female fans. “There were times when my decisions were probably not right. Yet, she stood by me,” Ajith added.
He added that he was not saying those words just for being politically correct and that he means it in every sense. “She was very popular and loved by all when she married me. Yet, she took a back seat,” Ajith said.
Good Bad Ugly was Ajith’s most recent movie. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the fan service entertainer was produced by Mythri Movie Makers and T-Series. The action entertainer, co-starring Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das and others, became a blockbuster.
