Naveen Chandra’s Blind Spot is an out-and-out, crisply edited murder mystery thriller slated to hit the screens on May 9th. While its nuanced performances by the likes of Naveen Chandra and its tight screenplay are expected to be among its biggest merits, Sriram Maddury’s background score is going to further amplify the echoes of suspense.
Sriram is a US-based composer who has also worked at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Productions and contributed music with Atli Örvarsson for Hollywood’s most popular Film and TV projects like Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, FBI, FBI: Most Wanted among others. If you are into web series shows, you would know his work because of Shaitan, Recce and Loser, all of which won many accolades from Indian audience and critics alike.
For Blind Spot, Sriram has adopted a riveting style that aids the chills. Having worked on unconventional projects before, he knows how to handle scenes that convey tension and dread. Blind Spot, directed by Rakesh Varma, opts for static camera angles. Since it has been conceived as a grounded, logical thriller, composer Sriram gave a suitable score.
The film is proudly produced by Ramakrishna Veerapaneni, and presented by Mango Mass Media. The movie’s theatrical release will be by UV Creations.
