“The eternal battle of the sexes is played out across several generations of a family who seek to obtain a fortune,” said Amazon Prime Video, announcing the streaming of actor Sree Vishnu’s ‘Swag’. The film has arrived on OTT three weeks after its theatrical release.
Helmed by Hasith Goli, actress Ritu Varma plays the main female protagonist. Other noted actors Meera Jasmine, Dakshina Nagarkar, and Saranya Pradeep will appear in significant roles. Ritu Varma of Pelli Choopulu fame has played more than one role.
Director Hasith Goli dealt with complex issues in the film. Sree Vishnu‘s transgender get-up in the film goes beyond a surface-level experience and instead is rooted in the story. The actor also played Diwakar Peta SI Bhavbhuti, a male chauvinist. Moral issues and how a materialistic outlook towards life can aggravate the gender war in societies has been narrated by the film.
Notable actors like Getup Srinu, Ravi Babu, Goparaju Ramana, and others are also a part of Swag, which is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory. Vivek Sagar is the music composer.
