Suriya’s 45th film was launched in November of last year under the aegis of Dream Warrior Pictures. The film is directed by RJ Balaji.
On Friday, the makers announced the movie’s title by launching a poster suggesting bloodshed and violence. Karuppu is the movie’s interesting title.

The film from the Kanguva actor is going to be an action adventure film. Producers SR Prabhu and SR Prakashbabu have roped in Trisha Krishnan for a major role. Sai Abhyankkar, the rising music composer, is setting the tunes. GK Vishnu (Mersal, Bigil, Krack, The Paradise) is the Director of Photography.
Director RJ Balaji has previously directed movies like Mookuthi Amman and Veetla Vishesham. He has been a presenter and writer as well. Suriya’s movie is his career’s most prestigious one.
Retro, which was released this Summer, was Suriya’s 44th movie. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, it had Pooja Hegde as the heroine. Suriya’s 46th movie is directed by Venky Atluri. The release dates of Karuppu and Suriya46 are yet to be finalized.
