The pre-release event of Kuberaa was held in Hyderabad on Sunday evening. On the occasion, a highly content-rich trailer was unveiled by the makers.
The event was attended by SS Rajamouli as the chief guest, who said that Sekhar Kammula might come across as a soft person on the outside, but he is extremely stubborn on the inside. “He never compromises on his ideals and principles. No matter what you try to entice him with, he doesn’t budge. He is a year senior to me. Nagarjuna garu, Dhanush and Kammula look like a wow combination. Usually, the trailers of Kammula’s movies make themselves clear. But the trailer of Kuberaa is so intriguing that it is very suspenseful,” Rajamouli said.

Dhanush said that Sekhar Kammula worked so hard that he had put his health on the line. “Kuberaa is my 51st Tamil film and second Telugu film. In the era of everyone chasing numbers, Kammula chases butterflies. Working with Nagarjuna sir was special. It was nothing short of magic. DSP’s music has so much infectious energy. He has composed beautiful songs and an amazing score,” Dhanush said.
Nag said that the way Dhanush gets into his characters is amazing. “Kuberaa is not my film, not Dhanush’s film, not Rashmika’s film. It’s an out-and-out Sekhar Kammula movie. We are just characters in his world. In Mayabazaar, who was the hero? It was none of its actors. It was its director. Kuberaa satisfied our yearning for something novel,” the Naa Saami Ranga actor said.
The film will be released in theatres on June 20th.
