It is a well-circulated fact that Sai Pallavi is essaying Goddess Sita in Ranbir Kapoor’s ambitious Ramayana duology, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. There were rumours that KGF actress Srinidhi Shetty was approached for the challenging character. Unlike most rumours that turn out to be false, this one is a rare accurate one. The actress herself revealed it in one of her latest interviews.
“I did give a screen test and met them for Ramayana. I remember preparing three scenes very nicely. They also had a great response and loved my test,” the actress told a podcaster named Siddharth Kannan.
She added that she was aware that her KGF co-star, Yash, was playing Ravana in the movie. She had slight doubts about the suitability of the casting.
Srinidhi is not sorry that she missed out on playing Sita. “I am sure Sai Pallavi will be great in the movie,” she added.
Srinidhi is playing Nani’s love interest in the upcoming crime thriller, HIT 3. To be released in theatres on May 1st, the movie is directed by Sailesh Kolanu.
