Director Ajay Bhupathi of RX100 fame is currently busy with his next project titled Mahasamudram. Ajay won multiple accolades for his direction skills in RX100, a low budget movie which became a superhit. There was quite a strong buzz that there would be two protagonists in Mahasamudram and it now looks like the quest for the second protagonist has ended.
Talented actor Sharwanand was selected as the protagonist for the movie but Ajay Bhupathi was on the lookout for another protagonist. It now looks like the search has ended with Siddharth being zeroed in as the second protagonist. The news comes from a reliable source according to a popular news daily. One of the main reasons why Siddharth was zeroed in as the protagonist is because of his natural looks.

Siddharth has been away from Tollywood for quite a long time and it would be a comeback of sorts for Siddharth should he decide to take up the role. Furthermore, it is learnt that Siddharth was impressed with the depth of the role upon reading the script and is inclined to take up this role.
Anil Sunkara is producing Mahasamudram and Siddharth is looking for a hit in a Telugu movie after Jabardasth. Siddharth however has been active in Tamil movie industry and has notched up quite a few hits under his belt. Sharwanand meanwhile has been steadily building up his reputation as a bankable actor and has recently starred in Jaanu, a Telugu remake of the superhit Tamil movie ‘96. Sharwanand is currently working on two projects namely Sreekaram and Keeravani.
