Ayan Mukerji’s directorial Brahmastra is the most awaited superhero movie these days. It has been in production since 2018. Producer Karan Johar recently detailed the cameos by Bollywood and Tollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Nagarjuna in the movie.
He went on to speak about the star cameos in the film, “Nagarjuna came on board. Shah Rukh Khan has done a massive cameo for us. We thought it would be five days but he shot for 15 days. And without a question asked, Shahrukh saw the vision of the sequence. Amitabh Bachchan came just about like that. This is not just our film; it’s everyone’s film. It is a big mega film that just needs the world to watch it. So, we literally appeal to every center in this country and world to come out and watch because we do not need it just for the money; we need it to kind of validate the seven years.”
Why Is Brahmastra So Special?
There are a number of reasons quoting Brahmastra as a much-awaited and must-watch film. Brahmastra is a trilogy film franchise. This is the beginning of India’s first original superhero universe – the Astraverse, claimed the movie makers. Baahubali maker SS Rajamouli presenting the film in South Indian languages Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada in addition to the Telugu version. The film is being produced on a jaw-dropping budget of Rs. 300 crore. Director Ayan Mukerji disclosed he had been nurturing the idea of Brahmastra since 2011. He visited the Himalayas also, after which deep dived into the making of the movie, It’s also Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s debut on-screen collaboration.
The mega budgeted film Brahmastra is produced by Fox Star Studios in association with Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures and is slated to be released on September 9th, 2022.
