The re-release of Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu has been lapped up by fans. The two-hero movie, originally released 12 years ago, opened to a good response in theatres in the Telugu States.
The FDFS audience on Friday were found raising ‘Jai Babu’ slogans in praise of Superstar Mahesh Babu, the movie’s beloved, occasionally irate Chinnodu. A viewer was heard raising a toast to the Relangi Mavayya feel. Prakash Raj’s “Manushulante manchollu…” philosophy was given a thumbs-up by the crowds. While the audience mostly watched the movie for the combination of Mahesh and Venkatesh, the longevity of family emotions also prevailed.
In the run up to the movie’s re-release, Netizens dug up interesting tidbits related to the movie. Prakash Raj‘s character was initially pitched to Superstar Rajinikanth. Director Srikanth Addala’s narration in Chennai took place for real! The climax was shot in a single take.
SVSC, co-starring Samantha, Anjali, Jayasudha and many others, has music by Mickey J Meyer. “SVSC was shot over a period of one year. Since two heroes were involved, it was not easy. Srikanth Addala’s idea to cast two big heroes was exciting. Venkatesh garu and Mahesh Babu garu discussed a lot off-screen to ensure their chemistry was natural,” leading producer Dil Raju recently said.
