South diva Samantha Ruth Prabhu once again prepares to impress her fans and movie lovers with her acting skills in her upcoming film Yashoda. Now, the movie makers Sridevi Movies zeroed in on the release date of the upcoming action thriller. They took to social media to announce Yashoda is all set to hit the big screens on 12th of August.
They recently announced, “August 12th it is!! Our #Yashoda aka @Samanthaprabhu2 is all set to give you thrills n chills in theatres A @krishnasivalenk’s production” The producers promise that Samantha’s next is a thriller that impresses audiences from all walks of life.

The movie makers roped in Hollywood stunt choreographer Yannick Ben for action scenes. Directed by Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan duo, Yashoda is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under Sridevi Movies banner. Music of the movie is scored by Manisharma while Chandrabose and Ramajogiah Sastry penned the song lyrics. Fight master Venkat choreographed the action sequences.
Yashoda also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada, Priyanka Sharma and others in major roles.
On the work front, Samantha was last seen in Jaanu and also appeared in a guest role in a special song in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise. Presently, the actor is also working on Gunasekhar’s mythological drama Shaakuntalam and is awaiting the release of Vignesh Shivan’s Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal.
