Rebel Star Prabhas of Indian cinema well known for his outstanding performance as warrior in Baahubali(2015,) is back on business to deliver another pan Indian movie Adipurush. Based on the most loved epic drama in Indian mythology, Ramayana, Adipurush remains on top of the much awaited films. The maestro of period dramas, Om Raut is directing Adipurush. Saif Ali Khan who is essaying the role of Ravana, shared his excitement about Adipurush in a recent exclusive interview.
When asked about his role as Ravana in Adipurush, Saif said “Om Raut wants me to look majestic as Ravana. He wants us to train hard for the movie. The whole idea of looking larger than what I am is to portray Ravana incredibly well as he is considered as Indian satan. Ravana is a man blinded with vanity. His idea comes from within, hence Ravana is considered as a monster. The story is about destroying that monster and I feel happy to play a role that strong(sic.)”
Adding further about Ravana, Saif said “Honestly, there is a monster within each one of us. There are destructive thoughts that cross our minds. If one can smash them, they attain goodness. The real deal is about to fight those thoughts and be yourself(sic.)” Speaking about his attire and the story, Saif said “Adipurush is the story of victory of good over evil. The stronger the character Ravana, the more is the achievement to the hero. One of the coolest part of playing Ravana is I have scenes with 10 heads and it is outstandingly presented(sic.)”

The star studded cast for Adipurush, Prabhas will appear in a never seen before role as Lord Rama and the Bollywood Nawab Saif Ali Khan as Ravana, is garnering worldwide attention. Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh would be essaying the roles of Sita and Lakshman, respectively.
Crafted on a whopping budget of Rs. 350 to 400 crore, Adipurush is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair under T Series banner. The film will be shot as a bilingual in Telugu and in Hindi, it will be dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and several other foreign languages. Adipurush is officially set to hit the theatres on August 11, 2022.
