In ‘Robinhood’, actor Nithiin plays a master of disguises whose motives behind committing robberies are a mystery to others. Always a step ahead of the law, he is probably available for the highest bidder. He could be a guardian of those Indians threatened by “bloody foreigners”. He could be a legend with a swag. You will know him wholly and truly on December 25th, when the film hits the screens.
Filmmaker Venky Kudumula of Bheeshma fame knows how to deploy plotting and commercial elements. Although it was rumoured that ‘Robinhood‘ would be a serious genre movie, the neatly-cut Teaser paints a different picture. The parting shot that comes with the male lead in the garb of an Arab Sheik shows that the film doesn’t shy away from silly yet enjoyable humour.

Sreeleela is playing the female lead in this one. She could be a rich woman who gets fleeced by our cunning lead. The small bit involving Rajendra Prasad reminds us of the Allu Arjun-Nata Kireeti track from Julayi.
Shot in Australia and other locations, the film’s production is almost completed. GV Prakash Kumar of the recent Lucky Baskhar, Amaran and Matka is taking care of the music department. Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni are producing the film. Robinhood’s cinematography is by Sai Sriram. Ram and Laxman are the action directors. Ram Kumar is the art director.
