Romanchakam Review: A Buddy Comedy

Story:

Anvesh (Sumanth Prabhas) is an ambitious engineering graduate living in Hyderabad who dreams of launching his own tech start-up a modern dating application. While testing out dating concepts, he connects with Mythili (Ananthika Sanilkumar), a girl from Chennai. What begins as digital interactions quickly develops into a close bond.

The dynamic takes a turn when Mythili arrives in Hyderabad and stays at an apartment arranged by Anvesh. However, when Anvesh steps out for work, he returns to find Mythili missing, leaving behind a sudden, mysterious situation. Joined by his group of quirky friends, Anvesh sets out to unravel what happened, leading to a series of comedic misunderstandings, light suspense, and chaos.

Analysis:

Director T. Venu Gopal Reddy delivers a youth-centric narrative that blends buddy comedy, situational humor, and light mystery. Rather than relying on a heavy emotional core, the film leans into spontaneous, dialogue-driven situational comedy and Gen-Z humor.
