Game Changer, the much-awaited political action entertainer, is finally being released in theatres this Friday. The film is about Ram Nandan, an IAS officer, waging a battle to combat high-level corruption. Bobbili Mopidevi, the incumbent Chief Minister, had a rivalry with Ram Nandan’s idealistic dad, Appanna. Both Ram Nandan and Appanna are essayed by Ram Charan. Mopidevi is played by SJ Suryah.
First things first. This film is a Ram Charan show as much as it is a Shankar spectacle. The Mega Power Star’s dance moves, especially in Dhop, are going to be splendid. His performance in the action episodes, especially the pre-climax phase, will give the audience paisaa vasool moments.
Political action dramas are Shankar’s forte. When Oke Okkadu came out, the one-day CM concept attracted everyone from kids to aged audiences. What is Game Changer’s USP? A permanent bureaucrat clashing with a CM, who is fated to being voted out. Or, it could be some scenes that mirror real-life incidents. “Those scenes were written four years ago. They are transpiring these days in real life,” producer Dil Raju recently said.
The lavishness of the songs will be talked about by the audience. Shankar’s songs, right from the days of Jeans, have been synonymous with breathtaking visuals. Game Changer is going to repeat the feat. About Rs 75 Cr has been spent on the film’s five songs. Thaman’s songs and background score will stand out as the backbone of many crucial moments.
Our preliminary review is that Game Changer is going to be a sumptuous meal for the audience.
