Thalaiva Rajinikanth’s Coolie is arriving at the cinemas on August 14th. The release date was announced today by Sun Pictures, which is bankrolling the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial on a rich scale.
The film’s shoot began in July 2024. The production journey was concluded in mid-March of 2025.

The first song from Coolie was released in December 2024. Chikitu Vibe, the Anirudh Ravichander composition, is like a fan service. Rajinikanth dances in a garage-like setting with a hundred junior artists joining him. Akkineni Nagarjuna is playing a pivotal role.
Coolie’s cinematography is handled by Girish Gangadharan and editing is being done by Philomin Raj. Coolie also features Akkineni Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan and Mahendran. Pooja Hegde has danced in a special song, which is expected to be released in the run-up to the film’s release.
Sun Pictures is also producing Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, which went on the floors in March. Director Nelson Dilipkumar and music composer Anirudh Ravichander are working on the crazy sequel. The first part of the film was a monster hit. Fans expect Anirudh’s music for both Coolie and Jailer 2 to be a smash hit.
