SS Rajamouli feels that Shankar is the Original Gangster among star filmmakers. He used the term ‘OG’ as a metaphor for highlighting Shankar’s Numero Uno status when it comes to conceiving big-scale projects.
“For the people of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Shankar garu is a Telugu filmmaker. We have extreme respect for him. Dil Raju garu has done Game Changer with him out of admiration. The current generation of filmmakers look up to those of us who make pan-Indian movies. And we in turn took inspiration from Shankar garu,” Rajamouli said.
“Shankar garu gave everyone the confidence to nurture hopes and to dream big. I sincerely thank this opportunity to unveil the Trailer of Game Changer. I am hoping to see the vintage Shankar. In the 1990s and 2000s, we saw his best movies. Oke Okkadu is my favourite movie of his,” the Baahubali maker said, recalling a particular scene in the Arjun-starrer.
“The Trailer of Game Changer is exciting. There are many wow moments in it. The josh has just begun. Ram Charan has come a long way. He has evolved so much from the days of Magadheera to RRR and now,” Rajamouli said.
