Radhe Shyam, the periodic romantic drama starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles is finally released on 11th March. The makers of the film Radhe Shyam, UV Creations and T-Series Films, did vigorous promotions in the last few days. Even Tollywood’s top director SS Rajamouli was on board to bring out the film’s best output and he also did the promotions. Also the Telugu audience along with the other film lovers in different languages across India had huge expectations on the film. “Radhe Shyam” Telugu Movie Review:
Story:
Vikramaditya, a palmistry student of the guru Paramahamsa in India moves to Europe and settles there. He predicts many futuristic events in the world and is internationally acclaimed for his sure shot wisdom and success in palmistry. Vikramaditya falls in love with Prerana at first sight in a train. After a series of romantic events, Prerana too falls for Vikramaditya. Later, Prerana gets sick and the doctors say that she will die shortly. But Vikramaditya challenges the science and predicts that she has a longer life. What happens to Vikramaditya and Prerana’s love thereafter is the rest of the story. Can Vikramaditya win his love, challenging Prerana’s fate and destiny is the exciting element that runs the rest of the story.
On Screen Performances:
Prabhas looks ultra stylish as Vikramaditya when compared to his last outing. His performance as an internationally acclaimed palmist is remarkable. He looks very eye-catching in all the romantic scenes with Pooja Hegde and his screen presence is just loveable. Prabhas brings a fresh look to the character of Vikramaditya which adds a huge advantage to the film. Also Prabhas looks very comfortable in the emotional scenes too and he pulls them off with ease. Radhe Shyam is a pure classical presentation of Prabhas as an actor to the darling fans and the other audience.
Pooja Hegde is ravishing as Prerana. Her chemistry with Prabhas on screen is an eye feast to watch. She brings out the perfect addition to the screen with her beauty and attractive looks.
All other actors are a part of the film’s narrative. Sachin Khedekar gets a noticeable role and he portrays it with perfection. Krishnam Raju is equally good in the couple of scenes he has. He lays the path for the central idea of the film. Jagapathi Babu played a decent role as a client of Vikramaditya. Priyadarshi did a supporting role as a colleague to Prerana in the hospital.

Radha Krishna, the writer and director of the film penned a pure romantic drama for the film. His command on staying attached to the theme over the entire course of the film is just remarkable. His brilliance in writing is appreciable. Designing the characters of the lead pair exactly in opposite contrast with each other is a brilliant move from the writing aspect of the film. This truly helped in forming the emotional core of the story. Setting up the clash between love and destiny is a great conflict to watch. Speaking about the direction, Radha Krishna gave everything he had. The visuals are an absolute pleasure to watch on the big screen. Executing such a sensitive theme of the war between love and destiny on a grand scale is purely the director’s unforgettable mark.
Justin Prabhakaran’s songs are soulful. Ee Raathale and Nagumomu Thaarale songs are the best melodies of recent times for sure. Listening to those songs in atmos with the surround sound system and watching the lead pair at the same time with some extraordinary visuals is an absolute delight. Thaman’s background score truly uplifted and elevated many scenes. His tracks are in perfect sync with the soul of the film.
Manoj Paramahamsa needs a special mention of all the technicians. His visuals and presentation are top notch. Every single scene in the film reflects the elegance of his work.
Production Values are the major asset of the film. To be particular, the best in recent times in Indian cinema. This is just not about mounting the film on a large scale, it’s about bringing out the beauty hidden in the film with a perfect execution.
Visual effects department is another major highlight of the film. The CGI shots in the ship episode towards the climax of the film has set the international standards for sure. The art and action departments need to be equally credited for this.
