Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has taken the Hindi box office by storm, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan to become the biggest Hindi opener of all time.
The Sukumar-directed action extravaganza raked in a staggering Rs 72 crore on its opening day, despite releasing on a Thursday and a non-holiday. This is the Nett. collections for the Hindi version at the Indian Box Office.
The previous record was held by Jawan, whose figure stood at about Rs 65.50 crore. Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, collected Rs 54.75 crore on its opening day last year; this was the highest figure for the opening day among non-holiday releases.
Allu Arjun’s movie, also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil and others, also registered the greatest-ever opening-day collections in the history of Indian cinema. Mythri Movie Makers announced that the figure stands at Rs 294 Cr.
Pushpa 2: The Rule, whose music is by Devi Sri Prasad, is truly on a rampage at the box office.
