Rebel Star Prabhas has been constantly reigning supreme since 2015, when the first part of Baahubali was released in theatres. In the year 2024, his two most recent films made it to online charts in a resounding way.
Nag Ashwin-directed Kalki 2898 AD leads the IMDb’s Most Popular Indian Movies. The film was released in theatres June 27, earned about Rs 1,100 Cr at the box office. The dystopian sci-fi action entertainer also stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Rajendra Prasad, Sobhana, and Brahmanandam, while SS Rajamouli and Ram Gopal Varma in cameos. Its music is by Santhosh Narayanan.
Prashanth Neel-directed Salaar trended on Google’s Top 10 Indian movies during the year alongside Kalki. This is another noteworthy digital feat by the movie. Salaar, co-starring Mollywood actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Sriya Reddy, Bobby Simha, Jagapathi Babu, and others, its music is by Ravi Basrur.
The Raja Saab is Prabhas’ next release in theatres. It will hit the screens on April 10, 2025. Directed by Maruthi, it is produced by People Media Factory’s TG Vishwa Prasad.
