Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a huge 2016-foot statue of Ramanujacharya at Sri Ramanagaram in the Chinna Jeeyar Swamy Ashram in Muchintal, a suburb of Hyderabad city. The Prime Minister dedicated Samatha Murthy or Statue of Equality to the nation at a grand event on Saturday evening. In his speech on the occasion, Modi had all praises for Tollywood.
PM Modi said the formation of Samatha Murthy would be a turning point in Telangana tourism and it would bring additional charm to Telangana, which occupies the first row in tourism. The Prime Minister also lauded the Telugu film industry. The Telugu film industry is world famous now, he announced. Its popularity is not confined to Telugu-speaking people anymore but the entire globe is discussing Tollywood now. From the silver screen to OTT platform, Telugu cinema has become a topic of discussion. Even people in the foreign countries love to watch Telugu films, he stated.
Narendra Modi lauded Telugu cinema for creating wonders on the silver screen and then rising to universal status. The Prime Minister praised the richness of Telugu language, history and cinema. The Prime Minister also lauded the growth of Telangana as a great tourist destination.
