Mangalavaaram is an upcoming film directed by RX100 director Ajay Bhupathi. This is the third film of his career after RX100 and Maha Samudram. He announced his film, Mangalavaaram in February, along with an interesting concept poster. Mangalavaram is being made as a pan South – Indian project and is going to be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Recently, the makers revealed an actress starring in their film, Mangalavaaram. RX100 fame Paayal Rajput is going to be featured in Mangalavaaram in the role of Shailaja. Director Ajay Bhupathi shared this update with the first look of the actress, saying that Shailuu will stay in audiences’ hearts for a long while. He has also added that Payaal Rajput would be doing a never-seen-before role in their new-genre film, Mangalavaaram.

The poster released by the makers is bold, with a half naked Paayal Rajput with a butterfly on her finger. She portrays gritty emotions in the picture. Also, the director, Ajay, said that the film Mangalavaaram is an action-thriller set in the 1990s against a native village backdrop. He shared that the film is going to have raw and rustic visuals and emotions. The film has 30 characters in the story, and every character has a larger connection to the plot. Makers have also updated that the film has completed 75 days of its shoot and that the last schedule of the movie is planned for next month.
Mangalavaaram’s concept poster and the first look of Payaal Rajput have one thing in common, which is a butterfly. Along with direction, Ajay Bhupathi is also handling production for Mangalavaaram for the first time. This film is produced by Ajay Bhupathi, Swathi Gunupati, and Suresh Varma M under the Mudhra Media Works and A Creative Works banners. The latest hit music director, B Ajaneesh Loknath, is providing the musical score for Mangalavaaram.
