Speaking at the recent Game Changer event in Dallas, actor Ram Charan hailed the working experience with director Shankar as the best. He praised the maker of classics like Bharateeyudu, Gentleman and Aparichitudu.
“I can’t believe that I am a Shankar film hero. Over the years, many times, I stopped myself from requesting him to cast him in his film as a hero. I would be nervous in his presence when I ran into him at events. In the last three years, I got to learn so much from him. Shankar sir is the Sachin Tendulkar of Indian cinema. He has taken the stature of commercial cinema to a whole new level. I will always be thankful to God and my parents for getting to do a film with him,” Ram Charan said.

The actor added, “You have to have patience to learn anything in life. Sukumar garu attending this event and speaking about our movie is so much special. It has been a beautiful experience collaborating with Dil Raju garu. He has set up an amazing project.”
He spoke about the “clap-worthy” scenes between him and SJ Suryah’s characters. “Appanna is a moralistic character,” the RRR actor said. Anjali has a prominent part in the flashback.
Director Sukumar, who attended the event as the chief guest, thanked Shankar for doing a film in Telugu. He added that he learned a great deal from watching SJ Suryah’s Kushi.
