The India House, starring Nikhil Siddhartha, is jointly produced by Abhishek Agarwal and Global Star Ram Charan. On Wednesday night, a large water tank unexpectedly burst on the movie set in Shamshabad, causing a momentary panic. Despite initial incorrect reports of a major accident, no one was injured.
One of the producers of the movie issued a statement, saying that everyone who was on set was safe. “A mishap occurred on the sets of The India House while shooting today (Wednesday). Everyone on the sets is safe and sound. Thank you for all your concern,” wrote producer Abhishek Agarwal.
Nikhil Siddhartha, too, confirmed that everyone was safe. “Sometimes in our quest to give the best cinematic experience, we take risks. Today, we survived a huge mishap, thanks to the alert crew and precautions taken. We lost expensive equipment but by god’s grace, there was no human casualty,” the Swayambhu and 18 Pages actor wrote.
The movie is written and directed by debutant Ram Vamsi Krishna, who is also the founder of the film community Itihasa Collective. The cinematography is being handled by Cameron Bryson. The movie is produced also by UV Creations’ Vikram Reddy.
The India House also has Major and Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi actress Saiee Manjrekar in a leading role. Anupam Kher, the actor of Karthikeya 2 and The Kashmir Files, has a prominent part.
