Pandemic affected the Telugu film industry a lot, especially the films which were planned to be released in 2020 and 2021. Many films got postponed in the last two years. Even the Pan-Indian films changed their release dates. The situation of small and medium budget films was horrible. Many celebrities spoke about the pandemic effect on Tollywood on many occasions.
Actor Nikhil Siddhartha spoke about the same issue very recently. He wrote on his Twitter handle about the pandemic effect on his films. “After the success of Arjun Suravaram, I signed 4 movies. But the release dates have gone haywire,”Nikhill posted on Twitter.

Nikhil got a very good success with his last film Arjun Suravaram. The film was released in 2019. Nikhil did not have any releases in the last two years. Currently, he is shooting for two films which are about to complete the production part soon. He also signed two other films which are about to go onto the sets. But with the effect of pandemic, the shoots got delayed and so the releases were postponed.
The two films of Nikhil which are in production are Karthikeya 2 and 18 Pages. Karthikeya 2 is directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal under the banner of People Media Factory and Abhishek Agarwal. 18 pages is directed by Surya Pratap and produced by Bunny Vas under the banner of GA2 Pictures. Sukumar penned the story and screenplay for the film. He is also the co-producer for the film.
